Payment

There are two types of payment channels – Auto Debit from bank account and Online Banking.

1. New Loan: The first payment needs to be paid manually (refer to “How do I make payment to EM loan?” above). For all subsequent payments, they will be deducted via auto-debit once approved by the bank.

2. Existing Loan: The auto-debit is not successful due to insufficient funds in the account.

The auto-debit is in place to ensure that you do not miss repayment. If your manual payment fails, your account will be listed for auto-debit transactions. If your initial auto-debit fails, there will be another attempt to debit the payment after four (4) to five (5) working days.

Upon receipt of the email, we will forward the full/early settlement form to you. This form functions as a one (1) month’s written notice to us. We will advise you on the amount to be settled, upon receiving the said form via email.

No. The government service tax will not be imposed for this personal loan (facility).

No, EM loan does not take any handling fees or charges.

The late payment charge is eight percent (8%) per annum (p.a.) on the arrears, calculated from the overdue date till the date of settlement of the arrears amount.

The interest rate is 18.0% per annum (p.a.), which will be 1.5% per month.

Yes. The attestation fee, insurance fee and stamping fee will be deducted from the loan amount and credited into your personal savings/current account.

EM Loan has two (2) types of payment methods: direct debit from a salary bank account, and online banking only.

You can check on your app payment status. If it doesn’t appear, you will have to send an email to [email protected] for payment inquiries. Kindly include your NRIC (national registration identity card) number and full name for checking purposes.

You will need to give a one-month notice beforehand and also fill up the early settlement form, which could be obtained at our branches or by email.

No, we only accept early-settlement payments via Online banking only. Kindly send the receipt to [email protected] after making the payment.

You may pay your installment within seven (7) working days before the due date. However, EM Loan will still require you to set an account for direct debit just in case you forget to make your payment manually.

Loan Application

For employees, we will need:

  • A copy of identity card (IC).
  • Latest 3 months of salary slips / income proof.
  • Latest 3 months of bank statements.
  • Latest utility bill (water or electricity).

We will need at least 2 hours to 5 working days to process your application. This is subject to receiving complete documents, as we will need to call your office and emergency contact person for verification purposes.

*Processing time may be longer, depending on the verification process.

Applicants must be Malaysia citizens, aged between 18 and 65, have been working for at least three (3) months with their current employer and a minimum basic salary of RM 1,200.00.

EM loan will send a notification on the apps regarding your unsuccessful application.

The minimum loan tenure is 6 months and the maximum loan tenure is five (5) years (60 months).

You will receive a notification and you can check the loan status on the app, if the application is successful. 

As a professional licensed money lender, EM loan will not hold the customer’s ATM card.

For self-employed applicants, we will need:

  • A copy of identity card (IC). 
  • Latest SSM cert.
  • Latest 6 months of company’s bank statements.
  • Latest 3 months of personal bank statements.
  • Latest utility bill (water or electricity)

The loan amount will only be decided after you have submitted your application, as EM loan will need to do checking and verification to determine the amount that EM loan is prepared to offer.

No, we only accept applications from Malaysia citizens.

Yes, you may apply because EM loan has our own flexible credit check.

The loan amount offered by EM loan is between RM 1,000.00 and RM 30,000.00. However, EM loan will not offer the maximum amount to first time applicants as we will need to review your payment patterns.

The minimum amount of net salary needed is RM1200.00 per month. 

Yes, you can try. We have our own guidelines for cases under AKPK.
